'BASH-BOTS

$20.00

With the evolution of technology you’ll eventually end up with piles of obsolete material. And as it goes with the physical byproduct of any waste it has to be kept somewhere. Like in giant heaping piles in the middle of marginalized communities. By the early 2100’s those places accounted for large swaths of the Earth’s livable space.

Drawing on the same improvisational spirit of ingenuity that brought about Hot Rodding, Kustom Kulture, Rat-rods, Dajiban, Dekotora, Philippine Jeepneys and more - resident gearheads and modders the world over started utilizing the leftover bits of robots and other tech to start building their own unlicensed robots. Each Bash-Bot - the name being derived from the kit-bashing method of construction - was unique in design and purpose. Equipped with an open-source A.I. of unknown origin (that was forked a million times) these bots had personalities as individual as their creators.

Like their hillbilly hot rodding forefathers, these modern day backyard engineers loved to show off their work. The best way to do this was in anyone of arenas that dotted the rural landscape just like the dirt-tracks of yesteryear. Here an eager ‘Botbasher with a little grit and a lot of luck could change their life by defeating an opponents robot in these high-stakes cock-fights.
